Oak Ridge has some of the most distinctive homes in East Tennessee. The city was built quickly in the 1940s, and many of those original houses are still here alongside mid-century ranches, newer subdivisions, and lake homes along Melton Hill Lake. Streets follow the ridges and valleys, so many homes sit above or below the road.
That variety is why we design every display around the actual house. A modest original home can look charming with simple, even roofline lighting. A newer two-story home on a slope may call for peaks, trees, and a lit walkway. Either way, we bring the lights, install them, keep them working, and take them down and store them after the season.
Lighting Oak Ridge homes
Homes above or below the street
When a house sits on a hillside, the roofline and front yard are seen from a different angle than on a flat lot. We plan the display from where people actually see it.
Wooded lots
Tall trees are part of what makes Oak Ridge feel like Oak Ridge. Lit trunks and lower branches add depth and frame the house beautifully.
Lake homes
Homes near Melton Hill Lake are often seen from the water side as well as the street. We'll talk through which sides to light.
